Sentosa Cove, one of Singapore’s premium residential enclave’s is home to some of the island nation’s most stunning homes. Marketed as “an exclusive oceanfront residential community”, Sentosa Cove is home to some of the best in Singaporean residential homes with another example available HERE.
72 Sentosa Cove is a project by one of Singapore’s more prominent architect firms; Ong & Ong. Featuring a design which utilizes timber shades to block out the harshness of the sun and providing privacy with the flexibility of full height glass partitions and doors to open up the inner spaces of this beautiful home to the manicured space of the swimming pool in the backyard.
The design of this entire home definitely suits the tropical climate of Singapore while allowing for wind ventilation and regulation of sunlight throughout the home. With a focal area located in the middle of the bungalow, the architects designed the home with a more inward facing orientation to a multifunctional courtyard. I must say that i find the design of the courtyard and the staircase located right next to it absolutely beautiful. The lush garden of the courtyard also limits views through the house and helps create a visual barrier, and with a courtyard this awesome looking, who’s complaining?
I just love the way how the modern sophistication of this bungalow is interlinked with the manicured outer garden and inner courtyard that seem just right in place in this magnificent home. With this fine example of a Sentosa Cove home, I’m looking forward to seeing more equally fine examples featured on the pages of Habitat-MY.
