So Malaysian’s must be a bunch of property crazy folk that the iProperty iPad app has become the top app under Lifestyle in the Apple App Store. This app is supposed to “offer property enthusiasts a greater and more convenient platform to get the latest information on the property industry as well as search for their dream home or next property investment at their fingertips anytime, anywhere” as quoted from Shaun Di Gregorio, Chief Executive Officer of the iProperty Group.
Cutting through all the usual hype associated with any press release, some key information released in the iProperty press release were:
- Total downloads – 8,000 downloaded
- Search Functions – Enables consumers to obtain the latest news, information on new property launches and agent details all at one glance. The improved search function, also gives consumers quicker access to listings and new property developments.
- Property Feature Comparison – Gives property buyers and investors quicker access to properties which will enable them to search and compare properties that meet their needs more effectively on the same page, doing away with the hassle of switching screens.
- Platform for Discussions – Provides a property buyers and investors a platform to share and discuss their favourite listings directly with their Facebook friends.
Seems that iProperty Group is trying to actively engage consumers with this platform as it seems skewed pretty much that way. Out of all the above, the only one function that actually piques my interest it the Property Feature Comparison. Everything else seems pretty much the basic stuff expected.
Guess it’s time for me to dust off the iPad and go download this app. For all those currently using the iProperty iPad app, what do you love/hate about it? Share your thoughts!
