Modern Malaysian home interior design

From designer furniture pieces, to customised feature walls its not often that we find an extravagantly designed residence that has a design quality and feel to a home such as this in Malaysia. Designers Sean Yong and Yap Kah Man of Trio Interior Design incorporated inspiring elements into their design while maintaining a clean and uncluttered feel to the home.

The living room and foyer boast a well mixed use of reflective and stony matte materials which is uncommonly seen used in home renovations here due to the cost of materials and the high labour charges incurred for the installation of this material. The clean aesthetics of the living room give the home a perspective of the overall depth of the home and makes it look and feel large.

The clear and uncluttered design continues on to the dining and kitchen areas with a more muted selection of colours used to set a mood for this more decidedly laid back part of the home.

While the designs shown in this preview article from id iN Design, i must say the bedroom featured here does not reflect the overall theme we’ve seen in this house. To me, personally, didn’t quite like the bedroom design; nice… but not the kind of design i like.

Wish they’d show the outer facade of this home though… maybe its an incentive for visitors of their website to go out and buy the magazine… should I?

Only the kitchen looks reasonably decent.
