StarProperty featured a really unique and chic modern looking bungalow thats located around the Tropicana Golf & Country Club (article does not say if this home is located in Tropicana Golf Club but i think it is). The thing that really caught my eye is the 
simplistic use of colours for the painting the external facade, the classic modern kitchen and the use of indoor wall decorations which you definitely do not find commonly in Malaysian homes.
This 2.5 storey bungalow definitely gives this family a wealth of space to stretch their creative legs, with a 9,000 sq/ft built-up area this home has all the space necessary to create a work of art and they certainly did!
The outdoor facade of this house is treated in simplistic shades of grey and white. A wire mesh type main gate allows passerby’s to peek into the home without revealing too much. What i find most unique about the facade is the use of black/dark walnut coloured beams. It’s not easily noticeable whether these beams are made of timber or metal but they definitely add to the overall modern concept that the owners have gone for.
The kitchen of this home has been completely made-over with modern appliances and a contemporary finish to give it that modern air which we see more and more of these days.
The choice of white for the finishing of the kitchen cabinets and island is definitely a brave choice. We all know how hard it is to keep a kitchen clean, but a white kitchen would definitely enhance the difficulty of keeping this space clean (this is a confirm no-no for me personally). Set against a black marble floor used here in the kitchen, the contrast of colours makes this space in the home really stand out with a touch of exquisiteness and sophistication.
The dining area in comparison however uses a white marble floor paired with a designer styled dining set. The use of different coloured flooring creates a visual partition to define the dining area from the kitchen. The best part of this is the lush greenery that the dining area looks out into. The wide expanse of what looks like the Tropicana golf course adds to the feeling of airiness of this space and allows more natural light into the dining area as well as give the perception of bringing the outdoors into the home. Nice!
The modern themed designs even work their way into the living room where visitors to this home are greeted by a dramatic “stainless steel” feature wall with background lighting to add to the effect and modernism of the piece. Married with a unique triangular chandelier hanging from the ceiling, reflective coffee table and modern artwork placed strategically around the living room area and coupled with the double volume ceiling in this space gives the the living room a feeling of grandeur. Full length glass windows grace the walls to also allow more natural light into the home as well as a continued perception of letting this room feel alive with views of the greenery beyond. The full length windows also allow the occupants to look out to a wading pool that the family has built especially for their children. Looks like FUN!!
I’ve always wondered what it would be like to have a pool at home… but i think age has made me more inclined to simple water features and calming fish ponds, it’s just too much hassle to maintain a pool.
Besides all these design cues, the StarProperty article also mentions that the house featured has received a full high speed broadband and built-in high speed in-home network throughout the house with Wifi capabilities. Nice!!! Would definitely want HSBB in my home in future. Just imagine, uninterrupted internet surfing throughout your home, internet connected to your TV screen for streaming or web surfing…. aaaaaahhhhhhhh….. BLISS!!
